Living in the city can sometimes cut people off from their rural connections. Ask a child (and some urban adults) where milk comes from and the automatic response might  be "from the grocery store".  Events such as Country Connections and Rural Ramble are designed to help educate children and adults alike on just how connected they are to the countryside and what that rural world has to offer. Our Christmas Farmers' Market and many culinary offerings are all aimed at supporting a 100-mile diet.
